This smoothie. It’s my favorite because it’s my son’s favorite. Smoothies are such a clever tool to get those fruits and sometimes difficult vegetables into your diet. This particular smoothie I whipped up when he was suffering from the millionth ear infection before he got tubes in his ears. He was taking so many antibiotics and his tummy was definitely not feeling great, so it was an easy way to get some yogurt into his belly to help. It was such a hit he would demand it often. Every time I would run the blender he would literally run in screaming “JUUUUUUUUICE!” He actually still does… But now it’s even more exciting because he can help add the ingredients and press the buttons, so really he gets to make it.
While I was trying to take pictures for this post, I had a little man who was lurking until he could sneak in and grab a cup. Mind you, he had a completely separate cup of his favorite smoothie that he down almost immediately. That face tho…..and that little hand! I have a hard time saying no. As you can see, it’s definitely his favorite and it’s hard for him to resist. I love to make one as a simple breakfast or a snack. Especially now that the weather is getting warmer.
